Shraga Brosh, head of the Industrialists' Association, said in a letter to government ministers that the recommendations of the Trachtenberg Committee constituted “an actual threat to the operation of the business sector.” He said that if the government adopted the recommendations, businesses in Israel would badly suffer.
“At least two of the recommendations will badly damage the ability of businesses to compete and of the Israeli economy to grow and hire workers,” Brosh wrote. “It's an absurdity; these recommendations are likely to bring about price rises, the exact opposite of what they were supposed to accomplish,” he added.
