Arabs Protest Mosque Arson

About 300 Arabs from the Upper Galilee village of Tuba-Zangharia marched toward the neighboring Jewish community of Rosh Pina, Monday morning, apparently in anger over the torching of a mosque in the village Sunday evening. During their attempt to block the highway, they burned tires and threw stones at security forces who blocked their way into Rosh Pina.

Security forces responded with riot-control measures and pushed the protesters back into the village. Northern district police commander Roni Attia engaged village leaders in dialogue, in an attempt to calm the situation.
