      Charges Against Rabbi's Former Aides

The office of Rabbi Nir Ben-Artzi expressed satisfaction, Tuesday, following Monday's filing of abduction and conspiracy charges in the Be'er Sheva' District Court against four of the rabbis former aides. The aides were also charged with false imprisonment, coercion and fraud.

The indictments allege the four with trying to take over a non-profit group headed by the rabbi. They are accused, among other things, of holding Rabbi Ben-Artzi in four apartments in Tiberias and abandoning him in the Judean Desert for a few hours in 2008. They are also accused of taking donations under the pretext that they were going to recipients based on the rabbi's instructions.
