Ya'akov Terkel, who heads a committee investigating the 2010 Gaza flotilla, has requested the IDF Attorney General to supply the committee with files on 50 soldiers suspected of taking part in the deaths of nine Hamas-associated Turkish activists who attempted to lynch IDF soldiers. The files relate to six incidents that took place on the flotilla ships that the Terkel committee said it needs more information on.

In January, the first part of the committee's report was released, and it stated that IDF soldiers acted reasonably, and that the responsibility for the deaths of the activists was on the members of the IHH who acted violently in the wake of the IDF's legitimate enforcement of an international blockade.
