Syrian tanks shelled a highway in the Al-Rastan area of northern Syria, Monday morning, according to residents and activists cited by Al-Jazeera. Three people were wounded in the attack, which was apparently aimed at Syrian soldiers who had deserted and were joining anti-government forces. The army also used machine guns in the attack. Four people reportedly died in clashes between government and opposition forces on Sunday.
The websites of seven Syrian cities and a number of government departments were hacked on Sunday. Members of the Anonymous Operation replaced the sites with an interactive map of the country, showing names, ages and dates of death of more than 2,300 people killed in the government crackdown since March.
