A railroad train was stopped next to the station in Binyamina, Thursday evening, after passengers had enough of sanctions taken by Israel Railways employees, who are trying to prevent the line from sending cars and engines to the manufacturer for maintenance. The passengers threatened to attack an engineer who brought the train to a crawl under instructions from the workers' committee, opened the doors themselves and continued on foot, throwing stones at stations they passed.
A pregnant woman travelling from Tel Aviv to Akko passed out because of stifling conditions when her train was stopped next to Haifa. A Magen David Adom emergency team could not get to the woman because the way was blocked.
