Bomb Threat Clears Berlin Venue Prior to Gul Speech

Berlin police on Monday night cleared an auditorium where Turkish President Abdullah Gul had been set to speak, after a warning was issued about a possible bomb in the facility. Local news reports said that police were relating to the warning as reliable, and that they were searching the facility. The auditorium is at a university in the center of town.

Gul had been set to speak on German-Turkish relations, as part of an official state visit.
