The United States will continue to promote negotiations between Israel and Palestinian Authoriy, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro said Monday. The U.S. will continue to persuade the Palestinian Authority to enter direct talks with Israel regardless of the results of the efforts of the PA to seek UN recognition of an Arab state it plans to declare in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.
Shapiro made the comments in a discussion with religious female students at the Lander Institute in Jerusalem.
