83% of PA Arabs Favor Bid

A poll conducted by a Ramallah organization shows that 83% of Arabs living in Palestinian Authority controlled areas were in favor of the PA's plan to seek recognition of an Arab state in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. However, a large number also have reservations about the plan, because they fear negative economic consequences.

Of those polled, 78% said that they feared Israel would stop transfer payments to the PA in response to the bid.
