Amidror: Bid Will Hurt PA

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's National Security Advisor Ya'akov Amidror said Sunday that the PA's plan to persuade the United Nations to recognize an Arab state in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem would not bring any benefit to the Middle East. In an interview with Israel Radio, Amidror said that the bid would only end up hurting the PA. Israel, he said, has long pointed out that direct negotiations were the only way to a solution.

Amidror also said that Netanyahu's planned meeting with U.S. President Barack H. Obama was important, adding that “Israel should not have to pay a diplomatic price for such a meeting.”
