All the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted gains ranging from modest to sharp on Thursday. The TA composite index rose two percent to 939.85.
Leading the way were most of the technology stocks, which rose 3.2 percent to 258.65, while the biomed issues closed at 646.57, up .33 percent. With bank stocks rising 2.6 percent, the financial institutions finished the day at 915.79, up 2.14 percent, followed by the TA 100, which rose 2.12 percent to 955.41. The Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues closed at 1,056.83 while the media and communications stocks rose 1.55 percent to 814.25. The oil and natural gas stocks finished at 891.31, up .04 percent.
