MK Magali Whbee (Kadima), who serves as deputy president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), was invited by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon to participate in the 66th UN General Assembly sessions in New York, and to visit the American government in Washington.
Whbee will meet with senior UN and US government officials in an attempt to sway them against supporting the PA statehood bid.
MK Whbee said he will use his rich political experience to defend the position of Israel, explaining the importance of the peace process, and warning against the implications of a unilateral declaration of a PA state.
