The Israeli defense ministry's information division and the National Information Directory intend to place the remnants of a bus, which was hit by an anti-tank missile in the Negev earlier this year, in front of the United Nations headquarters in New York.
A boy was killed in the missile attack and the measure is being planned ahead of next week's UN General Assembly vote on the recognition of a Palestinian Authority state in Israel's Judea and Samaria regions.
Government officials are reportedly discussing the idea with the authorities in Washington.
"The image of the bus that was hit while a boy was inside explains Israel's determination to fight terrorism," a source close to the issue said
