Rav Avi Ronsky, former Chief IDF Rabbi, thinks the military court erred when it did not hand down a death sentence to the murderer of five members of the Fogel family in Itamar.

"For this type of deed, in which small children were murdered, the only possible punishment is death," he told Arutz Sheva. "The decision is weakness on the part of the legal system. In the US, too, they would carry out a death sentence in such cases, and certainly we, who are in such a difficult security situation, must sentence them to death."
