Communications Minister Moshe Cachlon granted a permit, Monday, to Hala TV to operate an Arabic-language cable and satellite television station. Cachlon said that if the station wants, a space will be reserved in the digital Idan Plus broacast system.

Hala TV won a competitive bid which was unanimously approved by the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Council at the end of April. It is scheduled to start its transmissions in January.
