Bomb Threat Called Off at Dulles

A security alert that went into effect at Dulles Airport in Washington Saturday afternoon was called off a few hours later, after security officials who were investigating suspicious items declare it to be safe. The item was found about 4:30 PM in an area near a cargo container, which was evacuated. The items turned out to be innocuous boxes with standard material, an airport spokesperson said.

The airport continued to operate during the investigation, officials said.
