The official value of the shekel rose an average of .132 percent in mix trading on Friday against the other currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.70, up .516 percent from Thursday's rate. The same percentage increase brought the value of the Jordanian dinar to 5.2186 shekels. The Egyptian pound rose .536 percent, putting it at NIS .6187, while 10 Lebanese pounds were set at .0246 shekels, up .408 percent.
The Euro fell .833 percent to NIS 5.1289 while the Swiss frank was fixed at 4.224 shekels, down .854 percent and the Danish krone declined .821 percent to NIS .6887. The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.9048, up .205 percent.
