Daily Cyber Attacks on Israel Could Become Hourly

Reserves general Yitzchak Ben-Yisrael said, Thursday, that Israel needs a national policy to respond to cyber threats against the modern Jewish state. Addressing the fifth Latrun conference on land-based warfare, Professor Ben-Yisrael said that hundreds of cyber attacks are currently launched at Israel on a daily basis but that could climb to hundreds of threats in an hour at a time of emergency.

A number of proposals from a committee headed by Ben-Yitzchak are being implemented by the government. The professor said the nation is basicly covered, but hackers may go after financial institutions.
