Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange recorded modest losses in mixed trading on Thursday. The TA composite index declined eight tenths of a percent to 942.17. With insurance stocks suffering a 2.97 percent decline to 9895.33, the financial institutions closed at 919.69, down 1.94 percent. The companies with the leading dividends declined 1.68 percent to 970.41.
The Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues fell nine tenths of a percent to 1,062.78 as the TA 1000 finished the trading week at 954.16, down .73 percent on the day. Losses of six tenths of a percent meant a 961.96 close for the oil and gas index and a finishing figure of 812.46 for the media communications index. While the biomed issues slumped .41 percent to 665.47, the other technology stocks rose six tenths of a percent to 248.91.
