Deputy Health Minister Ya'akov Litzman told representatives of hospital interns that it was too late to make changes to the contract between doctors and the government. The interns explained to Litzman why they were opposed to the deal. Litzman and the interns said they would meet again in order to examine ways to improve the situation of interns and new doctors who were dissatisfied with the agreement.

Directors of six hospitals in peripheral areas said in a letter to Leonid Idelman, chairman of the Medical Association, which represents doctors, that they supported the deal between doctors and the government.
