The National Workers' Federation asked Executive Director Chaim Shani of the Treasury, Sunday evening, to stop the advertising process for hiring security guards for ministers, out of concern that existing problems in the structure of the position won't be dealt with. The federation's Betty Matzar-Levi said the state should pay attention to the injustices of prior years and make the job description fit the unusual reality of the position. She called for the guards to have a say in the job description.
Last week, 81 ministerial guards filed a 14-million-shekel suit for unpaid overtime, which they say was assigned in contradiction of the law.
