Prime Minister Yves Leterme of Belgium is scheduled to arrive, Saturday evening, at the start of a 48-hour visit. He will meet with Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni at the King David Hotel, Sunday morning, before he takes part in the opening ceremony of the new Belgian embassy in Tel Aviv. Following a joint meeting with Industry Trade and Labor Minister, Shalom Simhon and businessmen, Leterme will visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial institution in Jerusalem, plant a tree in the Jewish National Fund's Forest of the Nations and meet President Shimon Peres.
On Monday, the prime minister will hold a breakfast meeting with Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman before a private meeting and Lunch with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the Prime Minister's Residence. From there, Leterme will proceed to the Palestinian Authority for an afternoon of meetings with Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad before he leaves the country.
