Ministers Silvan Shalom and Daniel Hershkowitz visited on Thursday the brand new AMIT school for girls in Givat Shmuel. The two visited the school as part of tours taken by ministers and MKs of educational institutions across the country on the first day of the school year.

Hershkowitz, who serves as Minister of Science and Techonology, said at the school’s opening ceremony that he was glad to see its commitment to developing excellence in the sciences.

“Israel’s unique advantage is its human capital and therefore we encourage students with talent in science to develop skills and talents and reach achievements,” he said.

Shalom told the students that education is the foundation for success in life and that without quality education it is very difficult to succeed.
