Most of the indices at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange showed modest to moderate gains in mixed trading on Thursday. The TA composite index rose four tenths of a percent to 1,003.43. The same percentage was worth a 1,017.51 close for the TA 100, while the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues slipped .03 percent to 1,132.20.

The leading gainers on the last day of trading for the week were the media/communications stocks, which rose 1.34 percent to 854.57, while the technology index closed at 250.30, up .68 percent, despite a .28 percent decline by the biomed issues to 690.60.
