A report on Channel Two Monday night said that Israeli troops were on high alert over the possibility of another terrorist attack in the Eilat area. Extra forces are on patrol, and drivers on roads in the area have been given instructions on what to do if an attack does take place, the report said.
An earlier report on Israel Radio said that an extra 1,500 Egyptian security officers had entered Sinai, with Israel's permission, in order to track down several terror gangs said to be roaming the area.
