The border checkpoint at the Herzliya Marina will begin operating 24 hours a day, a spokesperson for the Herzliya municipality said Monday. Until now, the unit functioned only during daylight hours, so craft that arrived in Herzliya at night were required to wait until the office opened in the morning to receive an entry visa to Israel.
The spokesperson said that the Interior Ministry would pick up the costs of the additional hours of operation.
