Hundreds of people marched, Sunday evening, from the Yad Mordechai Junction to the Erez Crossing, at the northern end of Hamas-controlled Gaza, to mark the 25th birthday of abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

While at Erez, they held a ceremony to mark the event. Taking part were Members of Knesset Shaul Mofaz and Miri Regev, former chief of staff and spokeswoman for the Israel Defense Forces, and Tel Aviv-Yafo Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau, former chief Ashkenazic rabbi of Israel.
