Egyptian police and security forces are gearing up in anticipation of violence at Friday's demonstration against Israel in Cairo's Tahrir Square. Thousands are expected to attend in the wake of the death of six Egyptian security troops during last week's terror attack on Israel and Israel and Egypt's clashes with the terrorists. Another focus of the protest is Israel's retaliation against Gaza terrorists.
The Muslim Brotherhood has called for a million people to attend the demonstration and demand the suspension of diplomatic relations, starting with the ouster of Israeli diplomats in Egypt and the recall of Egyptian diplomats from Israel. A Muslim Brotherhood announcement on Wednesday said Egyptian authorities had decided to take such a step but were talked out of it by the United States.
