Lieberman Meets Special Chinese Envoy

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman met, Friday morning, at his Jerusalem office with China's special envoy to Middle East, Wu Sike.

During a visit with Palestinian Authority leaders on Wednesday, Wu said that "The Chinese government and people firmly support the just cause of the Palestinian people to regain their legitimate national rights and interests and support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and with full sovereignty," according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry internet site. The website said that "The Chinese side also expressed the appreciation and support for the strategic choice made by Palestine to promote the independence and peace negotiations in a balanced manner."
