Libya Rebels to Seek Western Aid

The Rebel Transitional Council, which has declared itself officially in charge of Libya, said that it would request international aid to help the country recover from the civil war that has left large parts of it devastated.

Council members will meet on Tuesday with representatives from the U.S., Italy, France, the UK, and Turkey, in order to put together an aid package. The meetings will take place in Qatar.
