Activists Disrupt Jerusalem City Council Meeting

Twenty activists, among them organizers of the tent protests in Sacher Park and Gan Ha'ir, broke into a meeting of the Jerusalem city council Monday night. The activists began protesting at the meeting, demanding that they be supplied with affordable housing.

The activists complained that they had not been invited to the meeting, while activists from tent protests in the center of the city were invited. They were forcibly removed from the meeting by police. Mayor Nir Barkat promised to meet with them next week.
