Gov to Pay 50% of PM Sharon's Health Expenses

The government will pay for half of the medical expenses of former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. His family will pay for the other half. The decision was approved by the Finance Committee today (Monday).

Former Prime Minister Sharon has been hospitalized since January 2006 after suffering a debilitating stroke. The Sharon family is transfering him from a hospital to Havat Shikmim, the sheep farm in the Negev which served as home to the Prime Minister and his late wife.
