This past Thursday the JobKatif organization held an art fair in Jerusalem to raise awareness for former residents of Gush Katif. The event marked the 6th anniversary of the forced eviction of the Jewish communities of the Gaza Strip. Gush Katif artists sold a variety of handmade items including paintings, jewelry, and crafts.
A performance of short vignettes on repairing and healing was presented. Featured was Rabbi Yosef Zvi Rimon, the founder of JobKatif, Jeremy Gimpel of Tuesday Night Live, musician Shlomo Katz, Avi Abelow, the director of Homegame, a movie about youth in the Gush Katif disengagement and former Gush Katif residents. The event took place at Heichal Shlomo in Jerusalem.
