Tu B'Av Music Events in Jerusalem

Several music events will be taking place in Jerusalem for the holiday of Tu B'Av on Sunday evening for English speakers.

NachlaOr will be hosting a jam session in their NachlaDorms "kosher dorms and hostel" in the Nachlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem. Participants are encouraged to bring musical instruments. Women are encouraged to come dressed in white, as is traditional on Tu B'Av.

Rabbi Gili Houpt of congregation Kol Rina will be hosting a Tu B'Av party and kumzitz, stating "as we move from a time of mourning and distance to one of celebration and closeness. We can now achieve through music and joy what we were not able to accomplish through fasting."

The monthly English language poetry slam at the Off the Wall Comedy Basement on Ben Yehuda Street will feature poems on the theme of love and a open mic poetry contest.

At the OU Israel Center, Israel's comedy guru David Kilimnick will present his "Find Me A Wife" comedy performance, which is a humorous look at dating and marriage in Israel.
