      Shekel, Euro Slightly Stronger

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .051 percent, Friday, in mixed trading against the other currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.548, no change from Thursday's rate. Ten Lebanese pounds remained at .0235 shekels.

The Euro rose .133 percent to NIS 5.039, while the pound sterling was set at 5,7458 shekels, up .353 percent. The Swiss frank fell 3.924 percent to NIS 4.618 following a record losses elsewhere on Thursday, when there was talk of linking it to the Euro to keep it from getting too strong.
