Abbas to US Reps: PA State Must be Free of Jews

Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority told members of the United States House of Representatives, Thursday evening, that it was his intention to establish a PA state in Judea and Samaria, with Jerusalem as its capital. He said that he was against any possibility of Jewish communities remaining in those areas.

Abbas said, "Our first, second and third choice is to establish a state through negotiations. Application to the United Nations for recognition does not contradict the peace process based on the '67 lines."
