A children’s book by famous Israeli author and poet Lea Goldberg has been re-released in honor of her 100th birthday which was marked this year.
The book, “Hamefuzar Mikfar Azar” (The Absent-Minded Guy from Kefar Azar), tells the story of a particularly confused man. The re-release includes new illustrations by Natalie Waxman, an art student at the Shenkar College of Art Design who chose to draw new illustrations for the book as her final project.
While the illustrations are new and modern for a book written over 40 years ago, Waxman made an effort to recapture the spirit of the time period in which the book was written.
