Israeli officials have denied reports from the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency according to which Israel and Arab nations had agreed to discuss nuclear disarmament in the Middle East. IAEA documents said Israel had agreed to the talks, and that IAEA officials plan to meet with Arab leaders next month.
Israel has maintained a policy of nuclear ambiguity, but is widely believed to possess nuclear weapons.
