The attorney for Moshe Katzav attacked, Wednesday morning, the addition of two complainants to the original sex-offense charges against the former president. Addressing the Supreme Court during an appeal of the conviction and seven-year sentence handed down to Katzav, attorney Tzion Amir accused the complainants of jumping on the bandwagon.
Amir said, "We live in an age of people who hug and people who are hugged. Katzav's image has been blackened and distorted. Every innocent hug has become a violation," adding that the district court that passed sentence erred.
