It was disclosed on Wednesday that an 18-year-old Arab from Samarian Palestinian Authority city of Shechem received life-saving surgery at Wolfson Hospital in Holon, south of Tel Aviv, last week, after she gave birth to twins in Shechem's Rafidiah Hospital. In spite of her treatment there, her condition continued to be serious and unstable, so doctors and family agreed to transfer her to Wolfson, where she received immediate surgical treatment.
Wounds in the woman's womb were stitched and cauterized to stop intense bleeding. She was transferred to the intensive care unit until her condition stabilized. Her recovery continues in the neo-natal unit at the hospital. The twins are reported in good condition too.
