Six U.S. soldiers have been saved from a bomb in Afghanistan by a toy truck. The truck was a present to Sgt. Christopher Fessenden from his brother; Fessenden had been using it to travel ahead of patrols and search for roadside bombs using a miniature video camera.

Last week he loaned it to a group of soldiers who put it to similar use, and were saved when the truck hit a roadside bomb and triggered it before the group arrived.

The truck has also helped soldiers find four bombs, Fessenden told reporters. His brother is planning to send him a new one.
