Vegetable Growers Protest Taxes

Vegetable growers have written a letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and directly-involved ministers to protest what they call unique taxes which are being collected for no reason and a reduction in foreign workers without any replacement alternative.

Association Secretary Meir Yifrach cited an employer's tax for the foreign workers, which costs farmers 280 million shekels a year. His letter warns the ministers not to add the vegetable growers to the ranks of the population in the protest tents.
