Beinisch: Not Much Progress in Doctors' Talks

High Court judge Dorit Beinisch said Monday night that she did not believe the government and doctors were any closer to an agreement than they had been. “The two sides seem to be having difficulty, since it is impossible to ignore the letters of resignation doctors have handed in,” she said in a hearing to discuss progress in the talks between the Treasury and unions representing the doctors.

Attorneys for the doctors said that they actually felt that there had been progress in the talks, although there were still many issues that needed to be considered.
