Israel's Credit Rating Remains an A

Israel's credit rating remains unchanged, after a periodic evaluation by ratings agency Standard and Poors. Israel's rating remains an A, with a stable outlook, S&P said Monday.

There had been fears in Israel that S&P could downgrade Israel's credit rating in light of the lowering of the credit rating of the U.S., from AAA to AA+. Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz held an emergency meeting at his home Saturday night to discuss the possibility of a downgrade.
