Hundreds of Pensioners Demonstrate in Tel Aviv

Hundreds of pensioners demonstrated, Monday, opposite national government offices in Tel Aviv, demanding lower prices for medicine, cancellation of the value-added tax on staples, and blockage of attempts by the Finance Ministry to reduce pensions.

The demonstrators carried signs which read, "Don't abuse the pensioners any more,"  and "Don't throw us into old age," and reminded Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu of Likud forebear Ze'ev Jabotinsky's five things that the state must provide its citizens: Food, clothing, lodging, medicine and education.
