Report: Security Prisoners Claim Prison Poisoned Food

About 40 security prisoners in the Be'er Sheva Prison are suffering from stomach poisoning after breaking their Ramadan fast, Saturday evening, on food that had passed its expiration date, according to the Palestininan Authority's Ma'an news agency.

The prisoners say they bought dairy products at the prison canteen and only after they ate and drink did it become apparent that they had passed their expiration date. They accused prison management of having sold expired goods a previous time in the last two months. Palestinian Authority Prisoner Affairs Minister Issa Karake called for intervention by the Red Cross.
