An earthquake was felt in northern Israel early Sunday afternoon. The quake measured 4.2 on the Richter scale. No damage or injuries were reported.
The Seismological Institute said that the epicenter of the quake was about 40 kilometers off the coast of Binyamina, in the Mediterranean Sea. One expert was quoted in the media as saying that the location of the quake was atypical, and that scientists had been surprised.
