Yachimovich Petitions Against Double Registrants

MK Shelly Yachimovich, who is running for the leadership of the Labor Party, filed a petition this week demanding that the district court issue an injunction saying that 5,000 individuals who registered for the Labor party and are also registered in other parties, cannot be accepted as members of the Labor Party until a decision in their case is made.

“The way to restore public confidence in the Labor Party is to eradicate such improper methods,” Yachimovich’s office said in a statement.
