Report LIbyan Rebels Split

The assassination of a rebel leader in Libya has raised concerns of a rift in the rebel leadership, according to a Friday report by Iran's Press TV. According to the report, the National Transition Council blames elements loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi for the murder, but has ordered the arrest of the previous opposition leader, raising suspicions that the council was behind the killing.

Chinese news agency Xinhua reported that a representative of the Qaddafi government met Thursday evening with Cuban leader Raul Castro. During the meeting, Castro called for a ceasefire.
