US to Increase Fight Against Mass Atrocities

President Barack Obama of the United States ordered, Thursday evening, that new methods be implemented to increase the U.S.'s ability to stop mass atrocities such as genocide, and to prevent people who committed war crimes from entering the country.

In announcing the measures, President Obama noted that 66 years after the Holocaust and 17 years after the genocide that took place in Rwanda, the U.S. lacked a comprehensive policy for stopping atrocities like these.
